10 Best Micellar Waters

Many of you have their own make up routines that probably work for you and your skin. But sometimes it's good to test new products.

My latest make up removing products are:

Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover combines make-up removal with softness. Its refreshing and gentle formula is suitable for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.

L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Refreshing Toner for mature skin. The revitalising formula, enriched with Vitamin C, targets the signs of fatigue and helps smooth skin. Skin feels refreshed and looks radiant.

Age Perfect Smoothing Cleansing Milk has been developed specifically for mature skin. Skin is perfectly cleansed, looks clearer and feels smoother with a lasting sensation of freshness and comfort. i swear it feels so smooth:-)

I really like those products and I will be happy to recommend them. I know that they are for mature skin, but they work for me. My skin feels soft and fresh. Definitely it doesn't feel dry.

But here is what I wanted to show ya -> 10 BEST MICELLAR WATERS:

MODELS swear by them, every make-up artist has one in his or her kit and with their no-rinse, three-in-one formulas they're perfect for travelling and late nights. But what makes micellar waters so special?
Designed to be swept away with a cotton pad rather than rinsed off, micellar waters use tiny micelle particles to draw make-up (including waterproof mascara), sebum and impurities from the skin. Depending upon how much make-up you wear you may prefer to remove eye make-up separately, but since micellar waters are free of soap and alcohol they are a more gentle alternative to harsh face wipes, making them perfect for when you're in a rush or on the go.

Bioderma

Cleanses without stripping moisture, stimulating the skin’s ability to retain moisture and making it ideal for sensitive and dry skin types.

Taaj

With highly effective formula and Ayurveda properties. Very gentle micellar water.

Vichy

Vichy's Normaderm range treats blemish-prone skin without stripping it. Great for acne-prone skin, it sweeps away dirt, sebum and make-up and soothes with Vichy Thermal Spa Water.

Decléor

Powerful enough to remove eye make-up yet gentle enough to leave skin feeling revitalised and soothed, Includes Rose Essential Oil to protect against external irritants.

La Roche-Posay

Utilising thermal water sourced from La Roche-Posay's spring in France, non-irritating micellar solution perfect for even the most sensitive skin.

Christian Dior

It has silky texture and it has the ability to reduce redness in the skin. The pump dispenser wins it extra points too.

Darphin

Those who suffer from skin redness or rosacea will find Darphin's Azahar Cleansing Micellar Water a must - it removes make-up gently and easily without creating tightness and dryness in the skin.

L'Oréal Paris

Affordable as well as effective, this will sweep away your make-up easily, leaving skin feeling toned and cleansed. Great for young skin.

Ren

A light rose scent and a no-sting formula, it can be used harmoniously with the other products - the Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser is great for use in the shower.

Eau Thermale Avène

It's soothing, healing and calming. Avéne Micellar Lotion is accordingly a favourite among beauty fans for its gentle formula and suitability for most skin types.

Did you use any of them? What do you think?

Congolese Society of Ambianceurs and Elegant Persons (SAPE)- The most stylish people of Congo:-)

Did you see the latest Guiness ad? I have to say that I never seen such a good ad and so many stylish men!
Why am I talking about it? Well, did you hear about Congolese Society of Ambianceurs and Elegant Persons (SAPE) - sapeurs, as they are known.

The ad follows the men as they shed their working clothes and transform themselves into polished, hat-wearing, cane-wielding style moguls - because, as the narrator says, "in life, you cannot always choose what you do, but you can always choose who you are."
Costume designer Mr Gammon took 28 suitcases of elegant kit to the shoot with members of the (SAPE). The main idea of the Guiness ad was to be true to the sapeur look, but also, "kind of, heighten it a bit," Gammon says. "I wasn't redesigning them."

I was wondering if such society actually exist, but have a look at Guiness ad first:

Photographer Per-Anders Pettersson who spent five days with sapeurs in Kinshasa in 2012 says the picture portrayed in the ad is pretty accurate.
The opening frame of the ad locates the action in Congo Brazzaville. Sapeurs exist both there and in the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo - but the ad was actually shot in South Africa.
Hassan Salvador, seen in the ad sporting jaunty Lennon-style dark glasses, says he earns $1,000 (£610) a month working as a warehouse manager, and about 20% of that goes on clothes. Feron Ngouabi - who can be glimpsed wearing a kilt and tam-o-shanter - spends all of his earnings as a fireman on clothes, he says. Fortunately he owns two taxis, which bring in extra cash.
In the ad they wore a mixture of their own wardrobe, and Mr Gammon's.

Sapeurs never wear more than three colours at once (or four, including white). In the Guinness ad, featuring men from Brazzaville, Gammon kept black and grey clothes to a minimum. But Pettersson encountered plenty of monochrome outfits in Kinshasa, capital of DR Congo.

Hector Mediavilla, who directed a mini-documentary for Guinness, also released this week, says the ad is cinema - it's not intended to be 100% accurate. "But the spirit of the people? Yeah it's in the ad."
I love this ad. These people have a passion, and they live to fulfil it every day of their life's. Such a inspiration.

Did you hear about them.

Here is a little bit more about them:-)

Aspirin as a face mask? How budget pain killers can be used as a DIY cure for blemishes and scaly skin

Aspirin is more typically used to cure headaches, but it apparently works wonders on acne too.

Aspirin is a form of salicylic acid, proven to 'reduce swelling', 'unclog pores' and 'soften thick, scaly skin'. All you have to do is to crushe five tablets and combine the powder with a tablespoon of plain full-fat yogurt and honey, to create a 'soothing and moisturizing' face mask.

Note that the concoction should not be used by people with allergies to dairy or aspirin - those who are unsure should do a patch test behind the ear first. Also if salicylic acid is used too often or improperly, it can cause the skin to thin and become dry.

How to do it:

Leaves aspirin face mask on for ten to 20 minutes. Once it has dried use a warm, damp washcloth to remove it.

You will have smooth and soft skin afterwards.

For those with dry skin, add more honey, and for those with oily skin, the amount of yogurt should be increased.

On acne.org, out of 639 visitors, 86per cent recommend it as an effective treatment. So it's definitely worth trying. I use this mask only during winter cos during the summer it might cause skin discoloration.

Let me know if ya tried it.

My little bundle of joy

Hiya All,

Many of ya asked me about our new family member. I have to say that I'm not that kind of person who puts the pictures all over the Internet. It was a special day when we met our little girl and a very intimate experience:-)

Any way I wanted to thank all of you for the lovely wishes, and comments I received. We're both doing very well. Taking care about the little bundle of joy is a learning process, every cry means something different. Daddy is doing a great job in helping me:-)

Zoe, Olivia. She was born on the 20th of December 2013.

Thank you again xxxxxxxxxx

The New Moss: Meet Kate’s Model Sister

KATE MOSS's younger half-sister, Lottie Moss, has been signed by Storm Model Management - the same agency as her elder supermodel sibling. Moss turned 16 yesterday, and tweeted a picture of her portfolio page on the Storm website.

Lottie was 13 when she first caught the eye of scouts, after she appeared as a bridesmaid at her big sister's weddingin July 2011. Speculation fast emerged that she was due to follow in Moss's footsteps, but her mother and Storm decided that she was too young and her career has been put on hold until now. She is just 5'5" in height - generally considered as small for a model (Kate Moss is a diminutive 5'8") - and has the same high cheekbones as her sister. With blonde hair and wide blue eyes, will her fresh-faced, English rose appeal prove as much as an asset to her as it did a young Kate?

Do we have a new Kate Moss? This girl looks stunning. I cannot wait to see her first photo shoot!
What do you think?

Michel Mercier Detangling Brush- review

Michel Mercier Detangling Brush For Normal Hair Green is a patented, award-winning hair brush specially designed to effortlessly remove tangles from normal hair.

Internationally acclaimed hair stylist Michel Mercier was first struck by the pain and problems caused by tangled hair whilst brushing the hair of his 12 year old daughter who, like many other girls, would show visible discomfort during the process. Aware that this discomfort was not confined to children alone, Michel set about creating a brush that would make daily brushing a more pleasant experience and less damaging to hair.

Unlike any other brush on the market, Detangling Brush For Normal Hair Green features a multi-patented design with 428 bristles at varying heights and widths which glide effortlessly through tangles without breaking or damaging the hair.

Ergonomically designed with a handle, Detangling Brush For Normal Hair Green is suitable for hair that is not too fine or coarse. It is even gentle enough to tackle hair extensions and real or synthetic wigs.

Suitable on wet or dry hair and straight or curly styles, Detangling Brush For Normal Hair Green leaves hair looking perfectly groomed and free from tangles whilst preventing damage and split ends.
There are Michel Mercier Detangling Brushes also available that are designed specifically for fine or thick hair.

Michel Mercier, a new detangling hair brush is available in three varieties, each suited to a different hair type.  To choose the right brush for your hair, you simply need to check which colour you’re picking up:  Pink = Fine Hair, Green = Normal Hair, Blue = Thick or Afro Hair.  The difference between the three varieties lies in the flexibility of the bristles used.  The coarser the hair type, the more rigid the bristles need to be in order to combat the tangles.
The brush is made up of a patented system which involves placing 428 bristles (who wants to count ‘em?) positioned at different heights across the surface with a unique geometric distribution which helps to disperse the pressure placed on hair during brushing.

I got that brush a long time ago, but I wanted to use it. I mean really use it before I could say whether it works for me or not. During the pregnancy I was loosing my hair and I really got frustrated each time when i looked at my brush. I found it painful and hard to detanlge my dump hair. I came across  this brush on the internet- don't ask me where I found it, cos I don't remember. I really like it. It's so much easier to brush my hair (theay are always dump),. It's less painful and I'm not breaking my hair. I would really recommend it for girls who struggle to brush their hair just after washing.

Did you hear about that brush? If so what do you think

retro chested drawer- my DIY project

Hiya All,

I have for ya the last DIY from 2013:-) As I promised here is my "retro chested drawer"

A while ago we got a chested drawer from IKEA. I liked the fact that it was pine- wooden chested drawer in IKEA is not the easiest to find. I wanted to have something simple but functional. This unit meant to be for the dinning room, so I needed space for all the dinning room essentials. Plus I was looking for something that I could put a stamp on it.

Here is what I used for my DIY:
- IKEA chest of drawers. You can find it here
-wallpaper
- wallpaper glue
- chrome door handles
- white primer
- white paint (I wanted to paint it white in the first place, but then I changed my mind)
- grey paint
- top coat
- damp cloat

What I did first is I used the primer, as I mentioned before I wanted to pain my chest of drawer in white. Then I changed my mind and I decided to get creative. Well I never used a wallpaper before on the woooden unit, so this time I was awallpaper virgin;-)

Any way, once the white primer was dry I started with my drawers.
The next step is to cut the wallpaper pieces that will cover the front of each drawer. Once you have them ready you can start the fun with glue. This is a very messy job- one tip- use a damp cloth to wipe the drawer once you glued the wallpaper. It will help to remove the bubbles of air.

The last step is to paint your drawers with the top coat. I wanted to make sure that the wallpaer won't get dirty too quickly and hopefully it will last long.

One I finished with my drawers I used a grey paint. Two coats of paint should be enought, then at least two coats of top coat.

The last thing is door handles. You can see on the picture that I didn't have enough:-(

Here is the final resul. Let me know what do you think

Hope that 2014 will be better than 2013. All the best for my readers
