OMBRE NAILS

Hi Girls,

Did you ever try to do ombre nails? I never tried it as I always thought this is not the easiest thing to do. I mean to do it right:-)

I just spotted above video on the YouTube and finally I decided to try to do the ombre nails. Yupi. It was so easy!
Here is the result:

I wouldn't say the are perfectly done, but hey I did it for the first time:-) I will definitely try to do different colours.
I used Rimmel & I think Miss Sporty nail polish.

Did you ever try to do ombre nails? Let me know.

Neon orange dress

Hiya All,

I know I kept you all waiting for that outfit:-) I think it's time to reveal all of the pictures
I got my dress on the biggest sale I think I ever managed to find.. Aqua by Aqua dresses are usually very pricey but on Asos this particular one was on a giant sale (it cost me €26).  I was like it would be silly not to take it. So I got two:-) Ah the online shopoholic addiction is bigger than me:-p

That day was cold as usual. I mean any time we decide to do a session the weather doesn't spoil us. I looked hilarious with Eva's slippers and winter jacket:-) So this is how it started, well not that fancy

I wore Aqua by Aqua dress, Christian Louboutin  heels, Asos belt, River Island clutch

YOU ARE NOT A SKETCH

Did you hear about Brazilian  Star Models  agency which started campaign against anorexia? They called it "You are not a sketch

I bet many of you follow fashion like me. All we do is look at models and we hope that we could look as good as them, but this is not right!!!So many of them look like they need a proper meal. What can we do about that? To be honest not much. These are the fashion world standards.

This is not the first initiative of Star Models agency. A while ago they decided not to hire models in size 0. Unfortunately this is the current standard...Even Coco Chanel said once that her clothes look better on a skinny girl, well it was ages ago and still fashion world didn't change:-( Fair play to the Star Models agency that they are trying to change that. It's a pity that not many followed their initiative:-(

Their campaign shows how different anorexic girl looks like from the girl on the sketch. The one on the left is drawn by the designer and the girl on the right is the one who hardly looks like a healthy person.
Liz Osborne-Leavell, one of the initiators of that campaign said in one interview that: "This campaign is to show people from the fashion industry, that current standards are sick! We need to make little girls to be aware of the fact that Barbie doesn't have the real perfect size, and that they don't need to look like her in the future."

Hope we will see more agencies to follow Star Models campaign. Good luck  xxx

Do you like candles? I love IKEA TINDRA candles. They cost €1.65 but they last long and they smell  lovely. I came up with idea of reusing glass jar and making a candle holder. I usually have at home a lot of tea-light candles therefore it's handy to have some candle holders. So here it is:

Here is an old IKEA candle. All you need to do is poor a hot water into the glass and wait for a minute. Then you will be able to remove remaining wax.

And here is what you get:-)

I couldn't wait till tomorrow to share with you with my latest DIY project. I just finished it, so pretty tired but I'm so happy with the results:-)

I didn't have a bed side locker and all my stuff was on the floor- if you have a really high bed you might end up on the floor trying to turn off your alarm clock! The idea of having lovely bedside locker  made me a happy bunny. I spotted some offers in LIDL. Yeah, you heard me right. They've had solid pine cabinets on offer, which looked ok on the pictures. Here is one

It looked a bit unfinished and boring to be honest. The easiest way to pimp your cabinets is to paint them. That's what I did. I got two paint, which I got in Aldi. Both are acrylic, but they water based. They don't smell and it's easy to clean your hands once you finish painting. My latest colour crush is grey. I've chosen grey and white paint for my makeover.

Before I started painting I sanded the whole cabinet. The side and the top  of the cabinet I painted in grey. I also painted the side of the drawers in grey too.

Then I moved to the front of the drawers. To make it more interesting I went for a stripes:-) All you need is a tape and two different paints. First I used white paint, then I used tape to paint the stripes.

Work in progress

And this is how it looks like.

What do  you think? I'm in LOVE.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

As you know I'm a fan of Victoria Beckham style. She is celebrating her 39th birthday today therefore I think this is a good time to have a quick look at her evolving style. When she started her career singing in Spice Girls, she was just like every teenager. Wearing crazy clothes- now you wouldn't even consider wearing them. Then she tried her solo carer, but unfortunately it didn't work out. Or should I say fortunately? Did you remember when David has been stopped by the Police because he was listening Kylie music too loud (he was driving a car!) At the same time Victoria's single was launched.... Maybe it's good that she started designing carer:-)

From not so posh girl she became a fashion icon, who dresses many Hollywood actresses. There have been wobbles (Mr Blackwell named her the Worst Dressed Celebrity of 2007, saying: "Wears one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty Posh can really wreck 'em."), but with her many designer friends (Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Jacobs, Roberto Cavalli, Roland Mouret and Dolce & Gabbana, to name but a few), her own sell-out dress collection and fashion campaigns for Marc Jacobs and Emporio Armani, Victoria Beckham's fashion status is undeniable.

November 1996

This is the time if Spice Girls. I was a little girls back then, but I loved them like many of you.
Victoria Adams - aka Posh Spice - was given a wardrobe of monochrome classics to match her "posh" moniker.

January 1998

Spice Girls have their own Vogue cover!

January 1998

After David proposed on one knee after over a year of dating, the couple announced their engagement at the Rookery Hall Hotel in Cheshire. Despite the happy occasion, Victoria chose all-black with a statement crucifix for the event. The couple wed in Ireland on July 4 1999.

December 1998

Victoria was keen to show off her baby bump at the opening of Marco Pierre White's Titanic Bar in London. Her first son, Brooklyn, was born in London in March 1999.

August 2000

She left the "posh" image behind her during her short-lived solo career, which saw her perform her single - Out of Your Mind - in a faux-leather ensemble with cut-outs at the Radio 1 Road Show in Middlesbrough.

December 2003

With the crucifix swapped for rosaries, Victoria made an appearance on MTV's TRL to relaunch her music career with the release of Let Your Head Go/This Groove
She wasn't fashionista back then.

February 2004

She made her solo Vogue cover debut for the Spanish edition, with her hair in a low-tied plait.

October 2006

With the World Cup behind her - and the title of chief WAG passed to Cheryl Cole - in a fashion U-turn, Victoria cut her hair and adopted a more sophisticated look to attend the Chanel spring/summer 2007 show in Paris with new friend Katie Holmes.

I think this is when the fashionista was born. She changed her look, made few new friends and her outfits were definitely to die for.

November 2007

Prior to the Spice Girls' reunion tour, Victoria perform during the Victoria's Secret show in LA.

April 2008

Cementing her place as a legitimate fashion force, Victoria Beckham graced the cover of the April issue of British Vogue. Previously, she had appeared in the pages of the March 1999 issue of Vogue with David Beckham, photographed by Juergen Teller, when she was pregnant with Brooklyn.

November 2008

On the cover of Indian Vogue - shot before cut her hair into a pixie crop - she wore her hair in a tousled, wet-look style with an intricate metal hair accessory.

February 2009

On the cover of Russian Vogue

May 2009

Mr and Mrs Beckham as the campaign stars of Emporio Armani underwear. This add was so sexy! They both looked stunning.

In May 2010 she appeared on German Vogue and in July, she was on the cover of Turkish Vogue.

February 2011

Second cover of Vogue for the February 2011 issue. She gives an exclusive interview to Lisa Armstrong, in which she talks about waking up next to David, her work ethic and her flourishing fashion design career.

April 29 2011

For the royal wedding of Catherine Middleton to Prince William, Victoria wore a dress from her own autumn/winter 2011-12 collection. David wore a Ralph Lauren Purple Label made-to-measure morning suit. Many people wasn't sure that the colour of her dress was appropriate for the occasion, but I think she looked beautiful.

July 2011

Following the birth of her first daughter, Harper Seven, Victoria posted pictures of herself with the baby on her Facebook page. The most adorable picture  of any celebrity I ever seen.

August 12 2012

Spice Girls at the London 2012 Closing Ceremony. She wore a custom-made Giles dress.

Happy Birthday Girl! Keep it up your wonderful work.
